1. REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF PREVIOUS MINUTES / ACTIONS REVIEW
March 26th and April 9th meeting minutes approved with unanimous consent

Actions have been updated (above)

2. IMS WHITEPAPER UPDATE
WP - id-wsf use cases - done

WP - common issues action from everyone - open - no comments received participating companies must make comment here. Kind reminder to all participating companies to please provide feedback.

There is concern that the paper is too long (10 pages). This issue was later discussed under the TelCo SIG F2F meeting topic.

3. RECRUITING UPDATE
Ingo, Fulup, Jonas - Ingo spoke to Peter and explained some more. Fraunhofer indicated that they have been interested for a while on the reference implementations for GBA and IMS networks.

Fulup and Jonas - Thanh was notified of the call and actually joined the list. Thanh notified the group later that he had got caught in traffic and it is his intention to join the calls regularly moving forward.

4. EVENTS FOR POSSIBLE PARTICIPATION
Ingo suggested we present or make use of IMS world as a PR opportunity.

Peter suggested the group participate in the Fraunhofer Focus IMS workshop in early November (250 persons maximium from 39 countries)

5. SUMMARY OF LIBERTY TEG F2F FOCUS MEETING
Robust Client:
Jonas gave a quick updated about what the Robust client is - used to manage identity on devices, storage and access information. It's really about how to deliver authentication on client devices. There is a recognized need for more resources in the Robust client group to become editors and drive the work.

Basic components:

  • Active Client client based web services functionality
  • Trusted digital identity relationships, mobility models
  • Attestation and Provisioning are new components of the Robust Client.

ID WSF Extensions to OAuth - open protocoal to allow secure API authentication:

Use Case - person planning to go on hike and notify their friends and see if their friends are available. It's not clear how the work will proceed and who will drive it.

6. KANTARA INITIATIVE / WG CHARTER UPDATE
Short discussion about Kantara Initiative and Liberty Alliance - what the relationship is between the two orgs:

Joni explained the RSA pre-conference event was a 'soft launch' but more accurately it was a Call for Participation to the industry to get involved in the discussion and proposed activities. Kantara Initiative is not the same as the Liberty Alliance. Liberty Alliance has become a member of Kantara Initiative. Liberty Alliance work continues until all work items have been completed OR have been submitted to Kantara Initiative OR to another Standards Setting Organization.

Jonas asked for charter comments to be sent to the list so we may discuss it on the next call.

7. FACE 2 FACE MEETING - PARIS
TelCo SIG F2F Meeting in Paris - May 13th - 14th: Main focus is completion of the IMS whitepaper.

Gael has reserved a room in Paris at the Orange offices

Attending:

  • Jonas
  • Mario
  • Beatrice (To be confirmed)
  • Gael
  • Ingo
  • Fulup
  • Jose Luis (To be confirmed)

ACTION-20090423-02: For the F2F meeting in Paris: Gael to send out some recommended hotels and any possible pre-negotiated hotel discount information IF this list exists.

Group discussed best plan for making updates to the whitepaper. What is really important in the document is the use cases and the technical detail is good but this paper may not be the right place for technical details. One suggestion was to put the technical details in to an annex. There is concern that by doing this the Annex could end up too big.

SUGGESTION: Put up flows that do not exist today and reference them from our wiki.

Ingo volunteers to include some context aroung 3GPP

Aude felt that the technical information was important as well.

ACTION-20090423-03: TelCo SIG to take some time and think about what parts should be included in the actual white paper.

Jonas volunteers to be the 'merger' - putting the edits together.
