ACTION: Christina will research LAP membership and identify members who may want to attend the upcoming World of Health IT event. Specifically, there is a member of the eGov SIG currently working on an e-prescribing project.

ACTION: Christina will ask for a letter of support from the Management Board (Roger Sullivan or Brett) for inclusion in the upcoming NHIN grant.

ACTION: Kurt will check with Joni re: the eHealth wiki. ONGOING

1. David Whitlinger, President of Continua Health Alliance, an open industry group that will establish an ecosystem of connected personal health and fitness products and services, making it possible for patients, caregivers and healthcare providers to more proactively address ongoing healthcare needs. (http://www.continuaalliance.org/)

2. Markle discussion: What is the authentication issue? They brought together a group from a broad range of interested parties to produce a document on the subject and Dan Coombs is currently working on this.

3. Other new business and discussion. John Fraser of Mednet will be on next week’s call.
Thoughts on upcoming topics:
LAP Board Meeting will be hosted by IIT in July, Yacine is planning to make a presentation to the Board re: the focus and work of the Networked Health Privacy SIG Integration of EMR systems and authentication (NHIN in RIO, etc…).

Reminder: The World of Health IT Conference is in October. Does anyone have any suggestions for topics for a lunch presentation. Does Markle have anything going on in Europe? Not sure. Bill Braithwaite is possibly involved in an international group, we should explore this.

No new business.
